A useful starting point for public life

STATIC Civic is available as a free services navigator. It helps residents find selected U.S. government resources, the Your Texas Benefits portal and a New York City pilot for local services. It opens without a STATIC account.

Search by a need or browse benefits, everyday services, permits, records, official alerts, public meetings and open data. Search starts across all covered locations, with options to narrow it to U.S. guidance, Texas + U.S. or New York City + U.S. Coverage is identified on each service.

The right source, with a clearer next step

Each service page identifies the responsible agency, jurisdiction and official destination. Short preparation guidance and next steps help readers understand where the link leads before opening it.

Applications, official accounts, payments, records requests and status lookups remain on the responsible agency’s website. STATIC Civic is an independent navigator, not a government agency, and does not decide eligibility or submit an application for the visitor.

Organize a life change

Eight life-event checklists cover moving, losing a job, a growing family, starting a business, housing help, disaster recovery, international travel and replacing documents. Related service links make each checklist a practical route through the available guidance.

Checklist checkmarks are stored in the current browser tab’s session when browser storage is available. They are personal planning marks, not confirmation that an agency received or completed an action. They do not sync to a STATIC account.

A focused first release

Civic joins the STATIC homepage with its own services destination, official help guide and Index entry. The broader approved Civic program remains in development. This release does not include account-saved records, uploaded documents, direct government submissions, synchronized case status, AI assistance or an automatic alert feed.

Requirements, fees, schedules and program availability can change. The official source is the place to confirm current details before taking action.

October 9 update: Texas benefits and clearer search

Your Texas Benefits now has a dedicated Civic service page with the official Texas HHS destination and preparation steps. Searches such as Texas benefits, TX benefits, SNAP and Medicaid can find this route. Benefit-category terms also match relevant U.S. guidance.

The location menu now states the covered areas explicitly. Texas searches exclude unrelated New York City entries, and the no-results view offers USAGov’s state directory for services beyond Civic’s current selection. This update does not add complete coverage of Texas or every state.

A separate live-search section now retrieves up to 20 results from USA.gov’s public search. State-named queries also receive clearly labeled national topic guidance. Official search and directory links remain available for broader discovery, including when the source is unavailable. This is live USA.gov discovery, not a complete index of every government website.
