STATIC News is open as the network's destination for global coverage, market information and official video. Readers can move between desks and regional editions, inspect the source of a linked report, and continue to the original publisher for the full story.
The page brings several ways of following an event into one place: a story wire, market displays, global clocks, video updates and links to official news desks. Publisher names remain visible so a reader can tell whose reporting they are reading.
Follow a desk or build a briefing
Readers can follow desks and save reports to a personal browser-based briefing. Reading history, text size and alert preferences are also held in the reader's browser. These controls help a visitor return to subjects they care about without treating every headline as equally relevant.
Open RSS feeds provide another route into the coverage. The News standards and corrections pages explain how STATIC labels sources, timestamps, reporting and repairs to its own presentation.
Video and coverage retain their context
Official video appears with its publisher and viewing context. Live streams, recorded updates and unavailable sources are different states; playback depends on the source's current availability and the browser's playback rules. Publisher viewing links remain part of the experience.
