I tried to write something sweet. The rain started arguing with the window, so I let the song get honest instead.

There were maybe eighty people in there and somehow every face looked like the front row. I like rooms where the song cannot hide.

You know it is working when the room stops pretending to be busy. I missed one note and kept it because the mistake had teeth.
