Your private workspace

Log in with email or your existing STATIC account. Open a Private or Paranormal case, record your purpose and authorization, then add its brief, objectives, deadlines, chronology, tasks, contacts, time, expenses and findings. CaseOS is private to the account that created the case. Collaboration and client sharing are not open in this release.

Entries are preserved as recorded. Add a correction as another entry. Brief revisions remain in the application activity history. Conflicting edits return an error so you can reload the latest case. A maximum of 100 cases and 1,000 entries per case keeps this starter workspace bounded.

Originals and the evidence record

The starter Evidence Vault stores original JPEG, PNG, WebP, PDF, plain text, CSV and supported audio/video files up to 3 MB each, with 12 MB total per account and 20 stored originals per case. Larger video and professional bulk storage require a later capacity release. Record how you acquired the material and its capture date. The server and database independently check its SHA-256 checksum.

Downloads verify the original against the recorded checksum before delivering it. The application activity log records changes, uploads, downloads, exports and removals in a SHA-256-linked chain. You can verify that chain inside CaseOS or from its exported canonical strings. This is an application custody record beginning when material enters STATIC. It cannot establish earlier custody, the truth of a file, independent notarization, or legal admissibility. A privileged administrator could rewrite a database; no claim of an externally notarized or immutable ledger is made.

Files and records are stored privately on STATIC’s connected backend with transport security and provider storage protections. This workspace is not end-to-end encrypted. Source and filename details are private case content. Do not upload material you lack authority to hold or distribute.

Reports, export and deletion

Write findings with their limitations. Export a ZIP containing the case JSON, evidence index, activity chain and printable HTML report. Original files are included only when you choose that option. Open the HTML report in your browser to print or save as PDF. Keep private exports somewhere you control; downloaded copies are outside STATIC’s deletion controls.

Move a case to Trash to hide it from the active workspace. Restore it when needed. Permanent deletion requires typing DELETE and removes the case, entries, originals and activity history. Removing an individual original requires typing REMOVE; the bytes are removed while its checksum and removal event remain in the case history. Normal database backups may retain data under the provider’s backup lifecycle. Deleting the STATIC account removes these account-owned case records and originals through the account deletion process.

Actual audio, actual context

The EVP / field recorder captures your microphone only after you press Start and grant access. It never generates voices, denoises the original or labels a sound as a spirit. The waveform and relative dBFS input level come from real audio. dBFS is not a calibrated environmental sound-pressure reading. Browser format and device processing vary; this release does not promise lossless capture or transcription.

Recording stops after three minutes, when leaving the page, or when your account changes. Use markers to note observations, review the audio, download the original and export the full session log. Recording can remain local without an account. Saving to a selected case uploads the original. The browser stops capture if access is cancelled or the page is closed.

A compatible browser may expose an actual magnetometer through the device sensor API. Connection and permission are explicit; unsupported or denied devices show an unavailable state. The tool never supplies random fallback readings. Magnetic measurements are recorded in microtesla and stop at 1,200 samples. External instrument readings and environmental observations can also be entered manually, with a source, unit, time and explanation.

Check wiring, nearby devices, reflective surfaces, wind, traffic, other people, recording artifacts and equipment calibration before interpreting an observation. Assess records as Explained, Likely explained, Inconclusive or Unexplained. “Unexplained” does not establish a supernatural cause. No phone thermometer, spirit box, thermal camera, motion radar or paranormal detection capability is implied by the campaign art.

Professional investigations

This release provides case organization and field documentation. It does not accept paid investigation work, match you with an investigator, collect a retainer, provide background reports, track people or access protected records. Investigator-network launch requires real licensed providers and the relevant operating setup. Keep emergency response outside this record-keeping workflow.

For Texas licensing information, use the Texas DPS Private Security program and its TOPS license-search guidance. Licensing and case authority depend on the work and jurisdiction. Employment, housing, credit and insurance screening remain separate regulated workflows.

The larger P.I. world

The full plan retains licensed investigator operations, agency permissions, client portals, professional reports, larger evidence storage and external field hardware. The current release makes the personal case and field workflow usable today. Its illustrative noir and haunted environments never stand in for real investigators, cases, sensors or evidence.
