STATIC P.I.: choose your world, keep the evidence

Choose the experience

Use the two experience buttons at the top of P.I. Private Investigations keeps the noir world; Paranormal Investigations changes the whole environment to a haunted setting. The browser remembers the choice. The artwork never changes real records or creates sensor readings.

Open a private case

  1. Log in with email or your existing STATIC account, then open a Private or Paranormal case. Confirm permission to hold the records and use the tools lawfully.
  2. Write the brief, objective and limitations. Add notes, observations, tasks, contacts, time and expenses to the chronology.
  3. Preserve originals in Evidence Vault: up to 3 MB per supported file, 12 MB total per account and 20 originals per case. Check SHA-256, review the application activity chain, and export a case bundle or printable HTML report.

Record real field observations

Field audio begins only when you press Start and grant microphone permission. It stops after three minutes, on exit or account change. Review/download the original, export its full session log, or explicitly upload it and its markers to a private case. Browser audio is not promised to be lossless; dBFS is a relative digital level, not calibrated sound pressure.

A compatible browser can expose a real magnetometer. Unsupported or denied devices show unavailable, without random fallback readings. External readings are entered manually with instrument, unit, source and time. Unexplained does not establish a supernatural cause.

Privacy, removal and professional services

CaseOS is private to the creating account; collaboration and client sharing are not open. The workspace is not end-to-end encrypted. Brief history stays in the case activity record.

Trash is reversible. Permanent case deletion requires DELETE; original-file removal requires REMOVE. Exported copies remain outside STATIC’s control. See /pi/guide for methods, provider backup limits and the full privacy explanation.

Paid investigations, licensed matching, retainers and background screening are not open. Current tools do not look up or track people. Use official licensing sources for professional work.
