STATIC Legal: your matter, a clearer perspective

Prepare with S.A.G.E., organize your private matter and keep sources, versions and review decisions clear.

Begin with your story

  1. Sign in with a confirmed STATIC account. Create a private matter with its title, jurisdiction and your authorization to hold the records. Record what happened and what you want to prepare.
  2. Choose personal or professional preparation and your perspective. Start a new conversation, pick one of eight workflows and select up to three relevant active records.
  3. Read the context and Groq privacy disclosure. Authorize the AI turn explicitly, then ask your question. Questions and responses are saved with your private matter.

Real AI, source context and review

S.A.G.E. uses OpenAI GPT-OSS 120B on Groq. It receives a shortened matter brief, recent history and selected excerpts, not your whole file. It does not perform live legal research or validate current law.

The pilot permits six turns per account per UTC day, twenty shared turns per UTC day and one shared request per minute. Provider limits may pause it earlier. Failed attempts can consume allowance. There is no paid fallback or automatic upgrade.

Supplied-source references stay linked to recorded sources. Proposed quotes are matched to the supplied excerpt; the AI finding still requires human review. Suggested records open a review form and are saved only when you choose. Stop requests cancel the saved turn; provider work may already have run.

The matter file and tools

Keep pleadings, precedents, statutes, depositions, contracts, witnesses, communications, issues, risk and deadlines. Connect active records in Matter Map and inspect explicit relationships, source gaps and recorded dates in the evidence matrix, citation ledger and chronology.

Record sources, citations, jurisdiction and access dates. A source type is your label, not verified authority. A deadline requires its recorded date and basis; the app does not calculate court rules or file documents.

ContractOS keeps supplied text, parties, obligations and review questions. Import UTF-8 plain text up to 20 KB into a draft; no original file vault, OCR or signature is provided. Recent versions can be restored as a new version. Owner-reported professional reviews stay attached to the exact record version and are not independently verified.

Capacity, exports and deletion

Each account supports twenty-five matters including Trash, two hundred fifty records per matter including archive, eight MiB of retained text data, ten recent versions per record and one thousand explicit links per matter. Each matter has ten conversation threads, forty turns per thread and up to one thousand retained activity changes; the latest one hundred are shown and exported.

Export full JSON with records, retained versions, reviews, links, recent activity and saved conversations; a printable working report; or an ICS file of recorded dates. Exported copies remain outside later deletion controls. Trash is reversible; permanent deletion requires DELETE MATTER and removes that matter’s application records and conversations. Account deletion follows the existing STATIC process and cascades to Legal records.

STATIC Legal is not a law firm or representative and creates no attorney-client privilege. Professional mode is preparation style, not a verified role. Groq describes default no inference retention with exceptions up to thirty days; Zero Data Retention is a separate setting and is not claimed here. See /legal/guide for complete scope and privacy.
