STATIC Connect

Start with your STATIC identity

Open Connect freely. Sign in with your STATIC email and password, or create a free profile and confirm your email. Share your STATIC ID with people you know; no phone number or network subscription is required for messages and calls.

Open a conversation to send messages and supported media. Group invitations must be accepted before participation. Use your conversation controls for notification, archive and safety preferences.

Calls and your devices

Choose Voice or Video in a conversation. Keep Connect open to receive and answer calls. Use Reconnect call when offered, and Tap to hear the call if your browser blocks audio playback.

Choose Check your call devices to test microphone input, camera preview, speakers or a shared screen. Captured media stays on this device. Stop or close the check to release it; checks also stop when the page is hidden or a call is preparing. A local check does not place a call.

Allow microphone and camera access in browser site controls and in device settings. If a device is busy, close other apps using it. Ignored permission requests time out; dismiss any remaining browser prompt before trying again. Screen sharing requires a supported browser, usually on desktop, and may require system screen-recording permission.

Verified private conversations

Open Your private devices to activate a private device. Compare the displayed device codes with the other person through a separate trusted channel before trusting a device. Choose the verified private lane for encrypted messages and supported files.

Verified calls require their joined devices to be verified and ready; they cannot switch to standard calling. Changes to the joined devices require a fresh private exchange. Keep your original private device available: older messages without its keys and original delivery proof remain locked.

Notifications on this device

Open Notifications & app, then choose Enable notifications. Permission is requested only after you choose to enable. On supported iPhone and iPad versions, add Connect to the Home Screen and open it from that icon first. Browser and system settings control delivery.

Alerts contain no names or message previews. Open Connect to read a message or answer a call. Turn off on this device changes that browser’s notification preference. A notification subscription does not keep a browser call running in the background.

Your account and shared history

Use Safety & account controls to review account data and deletion choices. Save the deletion recovery file before confirming a deletion plan. A paused plan can be resumed after signing in again.

Recipients keep shared copies under Deleted member after deletion. Owned groups transfer only to an accepted administrator; otherwise they close. Closed retained conversations are read-only. Moderation evidence, financial obligations or unresolved ownership and media can require managed handling.
