STATIC Data Center Energy

The data-center energy specialty covering supply, resilience, interconnection and qualified compute flexibility.

INSIDE STATIC DATA CENTER ENERGY

Purpose, systems, and connections.

Data Center Energy is a specialty within Business and Industrial Energy for the physical power requirements of computing facilities. It coordinates the energy system while respecting the facility’s network obligations and Cloud’s service commitments.

Power system

Generation, storage, backup, microgrid, interconnection, cooling-energy relationships, power quality and capacity form the named scope.

Qualified flexibility

Deferrable computing may respond to capacity, cost, local generation or grid conditions when Cloud’s performance and service commitments allow it.

Actual obligations

A STATIC-owned data center remains subject to legitimate interconnection, cost allocation and capacity requirements.

How it connects

Energy does not pause real-time services or critical transactions to chase electricity prices. Cloud defines service constraints; Energy optimizes within them.
